Esteban
One of our early ribbon winners.
Esteban was sired by Pip of Misty Ridge and born to our Resende in April 2005. His silver gray color is one of the most desired. He placed fourth in his class at the 2006 West Coast Open and third at the 2007 Alpacapalooza. Esteban has been gelded and is now for sale as a fleece animal.
Our graceful swan.
Estrella, our Star of The Rebel, is one of the brightest lights of Barnstorm Farm. She was born in July 2005 to our Pimampiro and sired by The Rebel of Misty Ridge, who was the highest priced gray junior huacaya herdsire in alpaca auction history and now commands $3,500 a breeding. Her color is light fawn and she has a white face and curious, gentle personality. Estrella recently gave birth to Phantom, a promising male out of Jedi a multi-blue ribbon winner who throws colorful crias with soft, crimpy fleeces.
The friendly teddy bear.
Alejandra is a full sister to Esteban, sired by Pip of Misty Ridge and born to our Resende in April 2006. She is a medium brown color and has such dense fleece that she feels and looks like a teddy bear. She’s curious, affectionate and likes to buss her soft lips against your face. Alejandra had her first cria in 2009, Deacon, a handsome male who is out of Orlando, a young light fawn male who has won many blue ribbons with his dense, deep fleece.
Ever the teaser.
Emelia, whose expressive face reflects her sprightly personality and sophistication, was born in July 2006 to our Pimampiro and sired by Emerald Farm's Calypso Cloud, a proud dark silver gray with dense fleece, who is a multiple award-winner and one of Misty Ridge’s top sires. A medium brown with evidence that she could also throw silver, Emelia won a blue ribbon at the 2008 Alpacapalooza. She is bred to Misty Ridge's CL9 Altair, a multi blue ribbon winner with highly dense fleece.
Devoted mother who guards all.
Pimampiro or “Pim” was born in Chile in 1996. This excellent mother is light fawn and has given us the beautiful Estrella, Emelia and Lopez. She recently gave birth to Midori, an Emelia look-alike out of the same sire, Emerald Farm's Calypso Cloud, a proud dark silver gray with dense fleece, who is a multiple award-winner and one of Misty Ridge’s top sires.
Her offspring turn heads.
Resende, a medium silver grey, a favored color, was born in Chile in 1996. Mother to Esteban, Alejandra, Zorro and now little Alexi. Reliable Resende is for sale. We will not breed her again but she is an excellent starter mother who throws unusually calm offspring.
He'll make his mark.
Zorro, born on Cinco De Mayo in 2007, is a charming black bay, a gelding. He is sweet natured and will make a wonderful pet or fleece animal. His father is Altair’s Sterling, a dark rose gray male (son of a three-time AOBA blue ribbon winner). His mother is our own Resende.
(SOLD!)
Resende's latest baby; half sister to Cozvi.
Alexi will be fun to watch. A late-season 2008 baby, she will depend on her thick fleece during dry days outside but spend part of her winter inside the barn at night. Her mother is Resende. She's sired by Poseidon's Isaac, a seven-time color champ, same as her half sister, Cozvi. Alexi has a white face, and a coat that could be fawn, gray or -- our big hope -- rose gray.
Our budding crown jewel.
Cozvi takes us a new level in breeding. She is the first of our third generation. She is granddaughter to The Rebel of Misty Ridge, the highest-priced gray junior huacaya herdsire in alpaca auction history. Her mother is Estrella, our princess. Her father is Poseidon's Isaac, a seven-time color champ. She appears to be a medium fawn. Even the vet can't get over her.
Thick, dense fleece.
A fluffball of fawn, Lopez drew immediate offers from the first people who saw him. His father, Orlando, is a light fawn male who has won many blue ribbons with his dense, deep fleece. Lopez may out-fluff him. His doting mother is our Pimampiro. Lopez placed fifth in a tough class of medium fawn yearling males at Alpacapalooza -- and that on a bad hair day. (SOLD!)
